The rigorous evaluation process may include assessing the company’s strategic fit with our business strategy, valuation and returns on investment, transaction upside, talent management, cultural fit, and potential operational synergies.

We believe that substantial shareholder value is created not through the acquisition alone but through the realisation of the synergies from effective post-acquisition implementation.
 
As such, ST Telemedia’s dedicated implementation team is involved in the transaction process right from the beginning, together with the transaction team to ensure smooth implementation of the business plan once the transaction is consummated.

As of March 2007, ST Telemedia took on Qatar Telecom (Qtel) Q.S.C as a partner through a shared ownership of ST Telemedia's mobile telecoms investment company Asia Mobile Holdings (AMH). Qtel - one of the largest telco operators in the Gulf - holds an approximate 25% equity stake in ST Telemedia's majority-held AMH. This alliance marks the next step in ST Telemedia's investment plans in the Asia-Pacific region while strengthening its existing operations with the shared knowledge and know-how of its new partner.

Together with Qtel, ST Telemedia will be seeking out new mobile opportunities in selected Asia-Pacific markets to create greater shareholder value and affirm its position as the region's leading info-communications company.
