Mr TAN Guong Ching
Non-Executive Chairman
Mr Tan Guong Ching serves as non-executive Chairman of ST Telemedia. He is also non-executive Chairman of Asia Mobile Holdings Pte Ltd, StarHub Ltd, Singapore Technologies Aerospace Ltd, Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory Limited and IP Academy. Mr Tan was formerly the CEO of Singapore’s Housing & Development Board, the nation’s public housing authority. During his career, Mr Tan has initiated several major projects such as the corporatisation of Singapore Telecommunications Ltd, the reorganisation of the former Telecommunication Authority of Singapore, neighbourhood policing, civil defence and commissioning of Singapore’s mass rapid transit system.
Mr Peter SEAH
Non-Executive Deputy Chairman
Mr Peter Seah serves as non-executive Deputy Chairman of ST Telemedia. He is also non-executive Chairman of Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd and SembCorp Industries Limited, Vice Chairman of Global Crossing Limited, and a Director of Asia Mobile Holdings Pte Ltd and StarHub Ltd. Mr Seah was President and CEO of Singapore Technologies (ST) group from 2001 to 2004. Prior to that, Mr Seah held several senior level positions in Overseas Union Bank Limited before retiring as its Vice Chairman and CEO in September 2001.
Mr LEE Theng Kiat
Executive Director
Mr Lee Theng Kiat is President & Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of ST Telemedia. He spearheaded the formation of ST Telemedia and has led the company’s efforts in establishing itself as a leading wireless and global IP services company. Under his leadership, ST Telemedia has evolved into a significant information-communications company with operations and investments in the Asia Pacific region, the Americas and Europe. Prior to this, Mr Lee held various senior level positions in the former Singapore Technologies (ST) group of companies overseeing its legal and strategic business development functions. Mr Lee has served in the Singapore Legal Services for over eight years before joining the ST Group.
Mr SUM Soon Lim
Independent Director
Mr Sum Soon Lim serves as Independent Director of ST Telemedia. He is non-executive Chairman of Times Development Pte Ltd and Cathay International Holdings Ltd. He also sits on the boards of Singapore Press Holdings Limited, Singapore Health Services Pte Ltd and Yantai Raffles Shipyard Ltd, China's largest builder of semi-submersible drilling rigs. Mr Sum’s previous career includes working in the Singapore Economic Development Board, DBS Bank, J.P. Morgan Inc., Overseas Union Bank and Nuri Holdings (S) Pte Ltd, a private equity investment company. He had served as corporate adviser to the former Singapore Technologies.
Mr LIM Ming Seong
Independent Director
Mr Lim Ming Seong serves as Independent Director of ST Telemedia. He is Chairman of CSE Global Limited, Singapore Aerospace Manufacturing Pte Ltd, and First Resources Ltd, and a Director of StarHub Ltd. Mr Lim was with the former Singapore Technologies (ST) group from 1986 through 2002, where he left as Group Director.
Sir Michael PERRY GBE
Independent Director
Sir Michael Perry serves as Independent Director of ST Telemedia. He is Chairman of the Leverhulme Trust, a trust that grants awards for the support of research and education. He was Chairman and CEO of Unilever plc and Centrica plc, Deputy Chairman of Bass plc, and a Director of Marks and Spencer plc and Royal Ahold N.V.
Mr Justin W. LILLEY
Independent Director
Mr Justin W. Lilley serves as Independent Director of ST Telemedia. He is the founder of TeleMedia Policy Corp (formerly known as The Lilley Group), a Washington-based consulting firm that specializes in corporate representations before the U.S. Congress, the White House and regulatory agencies. Mr Lilley, a former government official, is an expert in the telecommunications and media industry, and advises numerous companies and trade associations on a wide range of telecommunications, copyright and e-commerce issues.
Mr CHANG See Hiang
Independent Director
Mr Chang See Hiang serves as Independent Director of ST Telemedia. He is a Senior Partner of his own law firm M/s Chang See Hiang & Partners. Mr Chang holds directorships in several Singapore public listed companies including Jardine Cycle & Carriage Ltd, a member of the Jardine Matheson group, MCL Land Ltd, Parkway Holdings Ltd and Yeo Hiap Seng Ltd.
Mr Vincent S. PÉREZ
Independent Director
Mr Vincent S. Pérez serves as Independent Director of ST Telemedia. He is CEO of Alternergy Partners, a company focused on renewable power projects in emerging Asian countries, and Chairman of Merritt Partners, an energy advisory firm to international companies doing business in Asia. Mr Pérez was the Philippines’ youngest Energy Minister from June 2001 to March 2005, and served briefly as Undersecretary for Industry at the Department of Trade and Industry, and as Managing Head of the Board of Investments in early 2001. Prior to entering public service, Mr Pérez spent 17 years at Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh and Lazard Frères’ offices in London, New York and Singapore. He founded Next Century Partners in 1997, a private equity firm that has invested in companies like Smart Communications and Fastech. He is an Independent Director of Nido Petroleum, Energy Development Corporation, the largest geothermal company in Asia, and SM Investments. He is currently also Chairman of WWF-Philippines.
