New network will meet growing demand in the State of São Paulo.
São Paulo, Brazil, Monday, January 26, 2009 -- Global Crossing (NASDAQ: GLBC), a leading global IP solutions provider, today announced it has completed the construction of a new, 126 km fiber optic network in the interior region of the state of São Paulo, interconnecting the cities of Hortolândia and Sorocaba.

The new ring is part of Global Crossing’s metropolitan networks in Brazil. Currently, Global Crossing has 15 metropolitan networks and 15 data centers in Latin America. The company owns one of the world’s largest IP-based fiber optic networks, which reaches more than 60 countries worldwide.
