Global Crossing Wins Northrop Grumman Supplier Excellence Award
Florham Park, N.J., November 19, 2009 -- Global Crossing (NASDAQ: GLBC), a leading global IP solutions provider, today announced it has been honored by Northrop Grumman Corporation’s (NYSE:NOC) Information Systems Sector with a 2009 Supplier Excellence Award.  Northrop Grumman defines its top performing suppliers as those “whose technical innovations, quality products and services and outstanding performance significantly benefitted Northrop Grumman and its government and commercial customers.”

Northrop Grumman presented the awards at the Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner in McLean, Va., on November 12, 2009.  The 24 suppliers were selected after meeting the highest criteria for schedule, management performance and responsiveness, technical performance, financial performance, and quality and mission assurance.

Northrop Grumman Information Systems Sector has been a Global Crossing customer since 2001.  The company uses Global Crossing’s Converged IP Virtual Private Network (VPN) service.

“We are tremendously honored by this award,” said Neil Barua, Global Crossing’s managing director, North America.  “Our mission is to provide a superior customer experience through the deployment of technology and services that will help both of us succeed through innovation.”

Global Crossing Converged IP Services enable high-quality any-to-any connectivity supporting VoIP, video and IP VPN applications.  The service delivers appropriate levels of latency, jitter and packet loss to ensure the successful concurrent handling of multiple types of traffic, especially voice and video.  It is backed by comprehensive service-level agreements (SLAs) covering the overall performance of the service, and online access to real-time and historical service-performance reports.
