SINGAPORE, Wednesday, 11 November 2009 – Nexwave Telecoms Pte. Ltd. (“Nexwave Telecoms”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Singapore Exchange Mainboard-listed TeleChoice International Limited, has launched a full-suite of “Cloud Computing” solutions aimed at the business market. Unified Communications-as-a-Service (“UCaaS”), is an on-demand “in-thecloud” model catered to the communications and IT needs of SMEs and MNCs. It provides businesses the full benefit of carrier grade enterprise class solutions without the corresponding heavy capital investment. With UCaaS, all businesses would be able to utilise the combined synergies offered by both Communications-as-a-Service (“CaaS”), branded as Nexwave One Voice, and Software-as-a-Service (“SaaS”) models. As a managed solution provider, Nexwave Telecoms is responsible for all software and hardware management that are built on robust business continuity architecture and fully secured servers. As such, customers are guaranteed quality of service and continuing technical support with ongoing upgrades and maintenance without incremental costs. They also have the flexibility to choose communications and IT services packages in varying configurations at a fixed monthly fee to meet their business needs and budgets.

Mr Steven Ng, Managing Director of Nexwave Telecoms, said, “Unified Communications will drive Cloud Computing1 growth to a new level. With next generation broadband network and web services architecture coupled with a pressing need to streamline IT functions and reduce spending, there is an anticipated shift towards a more efficient and flexible IT infrastructure. Not surprisingly then, Springboard expects Enterprise spending on SaaS in Asia Pacific to grow at 46 per cent between 2008 and 2012, pushing the market to US$2.25 billion by 2012. Gartner forecasts that CaaS is expected to total $2.3 billion in 2011 worldwide. As a fully integrated provider of hosted voice solutions and cloud computing applications, we are poised to benefit from this demand being one of the few players in this field.”

By marrying best-of-breed full feature IP telephony systems with email and collaboration applications, business users would experience the real value of Unified Communications while keeping cost under control via Nexwave Telecoms subscription-based model. Requiring minimal in-house resources while leveraging on the domain expertise and delivery of the solution from secured data centres, users are assured of the latest innovations in VoIP and Unified Communications. Categorically, while CaaS provides a comprehensive range of hosted IP PBX features for international and local voice calls including the provision of telephone handsets, UCaaS gives the user the additional benefit of increased productivity and unparalleled convenience. Enhanced features include receiving voicemail attachments via email, presence (showing the availability of other users), automatic detection of faxes and receipt of the same via email from the same voice line as well as ‘Hotkey to Call’ which triggers voice calls to numbers found in email, web or other documents. These are some of
the key value differentiators from traditional hosted telephony offerings.

Complementing its offering of UCaaS solutions, Nexwave Telecoms also offers SaaS suite of solutions, a mode of software deployment that is fast becoming the preferred model for enterprises and corporations. Nexwave Telecoms’ suite of online application services include email and collaboration applications, business applications such as Human Resource Management (“HRM”), Asset Tracking, Web Content Management (“CMS”) and security applications by some of the world’s most renowned application providers such as Google, Microsoft and McAfee. Furthermore, it allows more efficient use of IT personnel as the management, maintenance and upgrades are undertaken by Nexwave Telecoms, thus freeing such personnel for redeployment in other areas within the organisation’s core competencies. With scalability of the solutions, organisations can increase or decrease the number of users with ease.

Mr Ng said, “Added to the impetus to streamline the IT infrastructure within organisations is the fact that an increasing number of enterprises are operating across geographical boundaries or having to undertake work in multiple countries. Hence, the traditional means of communication and connectivity no longer make economic sense. Unified Communicationsas-a-Service and Software-as-a-Service enable such enterprises to operate cross a wide geographical area in the most cost efficient and simplified manner. We are likely to see new
technologies further transforming the IT landscape. Nexwave Telecoms will be at the forefront of these technological developments to continue to offer our customers the most innovative and effective solutions for their needs.”

Aside from Unified Communications solutions and hosted application services, Nexwave Telecoms has been offering affordable voice and data services under the SunPage brand since 2000. Its other enterprise-focused services include a full-range of IDD, roaming and callback services, conferencing solutions, SMS broadcasting, paging, location tracking, IP telephony and secured wireless LAN solutions.
