Asia Mobile Holdings is a main sponsor of the 2nd Lao-Singapore Charity Run, which was held on 11 December 2010 in Vientiane.
The event was jointly organised by the Singapore Embassy in Vientiane, Lao-Singapore Friendship Club and the Institute of Foreign Affairs of the Lao Ministry.  Lao Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs H.E. Alounkeo Kittikhoun was the Guest-of-Honour at the event.

The Run raised a record of over 180 million kip (approx. US$22,500) in donations which will be used to help set up a motorcycle repair centre at the Somsanga Drug Rehabilitation Centre in Vientiane. Besides the construction of the repair centre, the donations will be used to acquire training materials, equipment and hire trainers.

StarHub Wins Multi-Year Info-Communications Deal for Marina Bay Sands
StarHub won a multi-year, multi-million dollar contract to provide telecommunications and entertainment services to Marina Bay Sands, Asia’s leading business, leisure and entertainment destination. StarHub will provide mobile voice and data services, high-speed broadband and Internet lines, Enterprise Message and Webs service to power Marina Bay Sands’ operations. In addition, more than 2,500 guest rooms in Marina Bay Sands will have access to StarHub’s comprehensive range of premium-branded pay TV services.



Academic Network RedCLARA Selects Global Crossing’s Connectivity Solutions

Global Crossing is selected by RedCLARA (Cooperación Latinoamericana de Redes Avanzadas) , an academic consortium devoted to research and education in Latin America, to provide connectivity solutions between Sao Paulo, Brazil and Madrid, Spain under a three-year contract. The contract expands RedCLARA’s existing relationship with Global Crossing and enables RedCLARA to connect its network with academic institutions throughout Europe and the rest of the world.

U Mobile Introduces Malaysia’s Fastest Broadband Service

U Mobile deployed Malaysia’s first and fastest 42Mbps mobile broadband network in October 2010. The first setup point is in Berjaya Times Square, followed by the commercial deployment of the service within Klang Valley.

With this new service, subscribers can enjoy  ease of files transfer and streaming of high quality video to mobile devices and laptop.

Eircom Wholesale and Interfusion bring more power to Irish enterprises with Next Generation Ethernet
Eircom Wholesale and the managed network services company Interfusion announced five new customer wins, secured by Interfusion, using eircom Wholesale’s core fibre-optic IP network. In June 2010, eircom Wholesale launched NGN Ethernet, Ireland’s first wholesale telecom service that enables operators to deliver services at speeds of up to 1 Gigabit per second to business customers across Ireland.

Global Crossing Employees Collect 41 Tons of Food For Needy Families

In its first annual company-wide food drive called "Food Fight!" Global Crossing has amassed donations in food and cash equivalents from employees that amounted to just over 41 tons. 

The company-wide Food Fight! effort is just one of the numerous employee experience activities conducted by the company throughout the year and around the world. 

Global Crossing''s Toronto, Ontario, office won in the Food Fight! competition in the "pounds per employee" category by collecting 478 pounds per person, while the Southfield, Mich., office won in the "total weight of food" category with 24,971 pounds or approximately 12.5 tons. 
Food items were distributed to local food banks near these Global Crossing locations.




StarHub Supports Local Sports Through Partnership with Singapore National Olympic Council

StarHub entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC) to develop local sporting talent. Under the MOU, StarHub will provide S$800,000 over two years in cash and kind to support Singapore sports.  
The MOU will see StarHub and SNOC partnering to raise the profile of the Olympic movement and create interest for sports and the major games that the Singapore team will participate in.
