ST Telemedia Highlights Strategic Adaptability in Asia's Evolving Digital Economy

In a landscape shaped by rapid technological, geopolitical, and regulatory shifts, strategic adaptability has become more essential than ever to drive long-term value. At the recent TMT M&A Forum APAC 2025, our President & Group CEO, Stephen Miller, joined a panel discussion on navigating today’s dynamic landscape and advancing sustainable growth across the region.  

The panel explored how emerging technologies, changing investment strategies and new ways of operating can capture opportunities across the sector ─ from mobile networks and data centres to fibre, towers and tech services.

Mr Miller spoke about the pressures and possibilities arising from this transformation, underscoring the need for strategic adaptability and long-term thinking. He shared how STT is navigating this transformation by aligning investments with innovation, and how AI is already driving real operational impact across the Group’s portfolio.  

STT’s presence at the forum extended beyond the panel, with ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) and DayOne contributing to other sessions on sustainability-linked financing, infrastructure scalability, AI-led innovation and the evolving financial landscape. Their involvement highlighted our continued commitment to driving engagement, innovation and value creation across Asia’s digital economy. 

STT GDC is now an NVIDIA colocation partner and two of its data centre facilities in Southeast Asia - STT Singapore 6 and STT Bangkok 1 are its first facilities to be certified under the NVIDIA DGX-Ready Data Center programme. The certification ensures that its customers have access to robust infrastructure and expertise required to deploy high-performance AI workloads, and demonstrates STT GDC’s commitment to support the rapid growth of AI adoption across industries.

StarHub has won the Connectivity – Telecommunications category at the Singapore Business Review (SBR) Technology Excellence Awards 2025 for co-creating Singapore’s first ‘Borderless University’ with the National University of Singapore. Powered by StarHub’s Enterprise 5G network and Cloud Infinity architecture, the initiative reflects its commitment to enabling digital transformation through secure, high-performance connectivity.

At this year’s Mobile World Congress, U Mobile was recognised with multiple Opensignal Mobile Network Experience Awards 2024, including 5G Games Experience, 5G Voice App Experience, and 5G Availability. U Mobile’s partnership with ZTE, CelcomDigi, and RTM on the 5G-Advanced-powered live broadcast of SUKMA 2024 was also recognised with the ‘GSMA Foundry Innovation Award’ at the Global Mobile Awards. These multiple awards underscore U Mobile’s strong commitment and capabilities in driving 5G adoption and digital innovation.

StarHub has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with OREX SAI and NTT Docomo Asia to jointly deploy commercial Open RAN solutions for both StarHub’s Cloud Infinity and 45/5G network. The collaboration will strengthen StarHub’s network capabilities and scale up its enterprise offerings in Singapore and across the ASEAN region.
