ST Telemedia Deepens ESG Commitment in Fourth Sustainability Report

ST Telemedia’s fourth Sustainability Report, launched with the theme of “Staying the Course”, encapsulates our future-focused commitment to advance sustainability and enduring value, even as we navigate global volatility, resource constraints and external pressures.

“Climate change, social resilience, and geopolitical volatility are interlinked forces that shape the world our business operates in. Navigating them requires more than strategy — it calls for discipline and sustained effort under uncertainty, collaboration across stakeholders, and innovation rooted in responsibility,” Stephen Miller, STT President & Group CEO, emphasised.

Key 2024 highlights include integrating climate-related risks into our Enterprise Risk Management framework to align with TCFD recommendations, contributing around $870,000 to local community initiatives, and enhancing oversight with expanded Terms of Reference for the Risk Oversight and Sustainability Committee.

Apart from ST Telemedia, our portfolio companies – ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC), StarHub, U Mobile and TeleChoice – have also released their 2024 Sustainability Reports.

STT Champions Youth Education in Climate Action, AI, and Digital Safety

In June, as part of STT’s climate action and digital inclusion efforts, the company brought 26 children from long-term community partner Life Community Services Society on a trip to sustainability innovation hub Vidacity and Common Space, Asia’s first carbon-focused experiential hub. Through interactive exhibits, the children learnt about carbon costs in everyday activities, its environmental impact on the planet, as well as how they can reconsider their actions for a more sustainable future. The children also participated in an interactive AI learning workshop guided by STT volunteers, to learn AI in a fun and approachable way.

In the same month, STT also organised its third specially curated cybersafety workshop for 25 youths and staff from the Children’s Aid Society. Covering key topics such as digital identity, online footprints and privacy, the session equipped participants with essential knowledge and practical tools to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly.
