Singapore, 18 August 2000 - ST Telecommunications Pte Ltd, the direct subsidiary and holding company of Singapore Technologies Telemedia's (ST Telemedia) operational units has formally announced its name change with immediate effect to STT Communications Pte Ltd.

Formed as a primary investment vehicle to enter into the telecommunications market, ST Telecommunications represented ST Telemedia’s interest in the mobile data, satellite uplink, downlink and network origination, digital trunked radio, paging and internet/ e-commerce business.
